By using unixtimestamp.live you agree to these terms. They are short, and they are intended to be reasonable.
The service
This site provides free tools for converting Unix timestamps and reference material about time formats and time zones. No account is required and no registration is offered.
Accuracy
The converters use your browser's built-in date and internationalisation APIs, including the IANA time zone database as shipped with your browser or operating system. We take care to be correct, and the calculations are straightforward, but:
- Time zone rules change by political decision. If your browser's time zone data is out of date, results for affected zones may be wrong.
- Live clock displays read your own device clock. If that clock is inaccurate, the displayed time and current timestamp are inaccurate by the same amount.
- Unix time does not represent leap seconds. See our guide for what that means in practice.
Verify independently before relying on any output for legal, financial, medical, navigational or safety-critical purposes.
Provided "as is"
The site and its content are provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be available without interruption or free from error.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage — including loss of data, profit or business — arising from use of, or inability to use, this site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure.
- Scrape the site at a rate that degrades service for others. The pages are static; if you need bulk data, mirror it politely or ask.
- Use the site in violation of applicable law.
- Interfere with or attempt to circumvent advertising, where displayed, in a manner that constitutes fraud.
Intellectual property
The written guides, page copy and site design are the property of unixtimestamp.live. The code snippets published in the code examples section are provided for you to copy, adapt and use in your own projects without restriction or attribution.
You may quote short extracts of the written material with attribution and a link. Republishing pages wholesale is not permitted.
Third-party content
Where advertising is displayed it is supplied by a third-party network. We do not select individual advertisements and are not responsible for the content, products or practices of advertisers or of any external site linked from this one.
Changes
These terms may be revised. The effective date above indicates the current version, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
