Reporting an incorrect conversion

Time zone handling has many edge cases, and reports of wrong output are the most useful messages we receive. To make a report actionable, please include:

• The exact timestamp or date you entered.
• The time zone you had selected.
• The result the page gave, and the result you expected.
• Your browser and operating system, since the time zone database comes from them.

One thing worth checking first: if a conversion is wrong for a zone whose rules changed recently, the cause is usually an out-of-date time zone database on your own device rather than an error on the site. Operating system updates generally fix this.

Corrections to the guides

The guides aim to be technically precise. If something is inaccurate, ambiguous or out of date, say so and it will be corrected. Pointers to the relevant specification or documentation are especially welcome.

Suggestions

Requests for tools, formats or languages that are missing are read and considered. The site deliberately stays focused on time and timestamps, so suggestions in that area are most likely to be built.
