Privacy Policy

Effective 25 February 2026

This policy explains what data unixtimestamp.live collects, what it does not collect, and the choices available to you. It is written to be read rather than to be impenetrable.

The short version

  • Every conversion runs inside your browser. Timestamps and dates you enter are never sent to us.
  • We do not ask for, collect or store personal information.
  • We do not set our own tracking cookies.
  • No third-party advertising is currently served on this site.

Data you enter into the tools

The converters on this site are implemented entirely in client-side JavaScript using your browser's built-in date and internationalisation APIs. When you type a timestamp, paste a column of values into the batch converter, or pick a date, that data is processed on your own device and never transmitted anywhere. It is not logged, not stored, and not visible to us.

This is why the batch converter is safe to use on production log extracts: there is no upload step. You can verify this by opening your browser's network inspector while using any tool on the site.

Server logs

Like virtually every website, the hosting infrastructure records standard request logs. These may include your IP address, the page requested, the referring page, your browser's user-agent string, and a timestamp. This information is used to operate the site, diagnose faults and detect abuse. It is not used to build a profile of you and is not sold or shared, except where a hosting provider processes it on our behalf or where disclosure is legally required.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no first-party tracking cookies. Preferences such as your selected time zone are not persisted between visits — the zone picker simply defaults to whatever your browser reports.

Advertising

No advertising is currently served on this site, and no advertising cookies are set. Should that change, this policy will be updated before any ads are displayed.

Analytics

No third-party analytics platform is currently installed. If one is added, it will be one that does not use cookies or collect personal data, and this policy will be updated to name it.

Children

This site is a developer utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

External links

Some pages link to external documentation and standards. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not extend to them.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal information, there is generally no personal data for us to provide, correct or delete. If you believe we hold data about you and wish to exercise a right of access, correction, deletion or objection under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA or comparable law, contact us at the address below and we will respond.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
